The 20th season of Survivor is coming to an ass kicking close tonight! We had ten Heroes and We had ten Villians, but as Jeff Probst says, There can only be ONE Survivor! But who will it be? We have FIVE players left, including: Queen Bee Parvarti (Probst calls her the “flirty temptress,” but her power and big moves have gotten her far), King Russell (YUCK! He’s a bully and a hidden immunity idol ninja! His game didn’t change much from Samoa to here. Smart move or will he lose the money…AGAIN?), Sandra (She’s quiet in terms of her game-playing, but when making moves, the Heroes wouldn’t listen! Russell doesn’t think she’ll win which means she’s likely to go to the TOP THREE), Jerri (The Original Black Widow becam Russell’s puppet and the ultimate swing vote. Will she win or become another swing vote on the jury?), and Colby (The lone Hero with NO GAME…will he be able to pull it together so close to the end?). Let’s see what the night has in store…I have a feeling this is going to be a GOOD ONE!
After Tribal Council, Russell tells Sandra that playing the Idol was a “terrible” move. HILARIOUS. Parvarti argues back, that he did the same thing (true) and Sandra makes a valid point that he never told her about his idols. Now, he’s accusing Parvarti for knowing about the Idol and that she’s lying to his face. NOBODY KNEW. He runs to Colby and Jerri to tell them that Parvarti is lying. Colby and Jerri say she should go home next which would be good news for Colby (another day on Survivor). It’s Day 37 and the Survivors get Tree Mail about their challenge. Now, in an interview, Russell says Colby should go home, but if the Texan wins immunity, Parvarti should go because then it would be him, Sandra, and Jerri. Since these ladies didn’t play the game, the jury would HAVE TO vote for him. Really?
The first challenge is all about CONCENTRATION! The Survivors hold a mechanism in one hand and with their other hand they must stack dishes onto the mechanism. This is simple: Whoever can hold the most dishes without shattering any, wins! Nine dishes in and both Sandra and Jerri are shaky. With that, Sandra is out. Jerri is still shaking, but is able to get her dishes under control. Now, the Survivors have 14 dishes on their mechanisms and the second person out of the game is Jerri. A few dishes later and Russell’s dishes start to shake. He watches his dishes shatter which leave Parvarti and Colby going head-to-head for immunity! Wow, both need this immunity bad! And double wow, it’s starting to get windy! DOH. I don’t know what is shaking more…Parvarti’s dishes or her hands. Seventeen dishes and like that…Colby is OUT and Parvarti WINS! Phew. This could Bad News Bear for Colby!
Parvarti is glad to win immunity because the Villians stay put and camp will be peaceful. Or will it? Colby gives what he calls his “Surrender Speech,” but it’s a sneaky move? Will he try to stay or is he lying down and giving up? C’mon Donaldon…what’s the UPSHOT? He’s got one more move in him and he goes to Russell. Colby wants to know what Russell’s thoughts are about sending Sandra home tonight and Parvarti tomorrow. Is it a good plan for Russell? He wants to “wait and see” at Tribal Council. Will he do one of those last minute votes where he mouths to Jerri to vote for? That is annoying!
Tribal Council #1: Colby is the last Hero standing, but this game has been a ROUGH one for him. Jeff Probst notes that it could be easy for the Villians to vote out Colby and call it a day OR this would be a good time to make a move. And, wow, Colby just comes right out and says that he’s been “hustling” Russell. It is news to Sandra that everyone wants to sit next to her at the finals while it’s news to Parvarti that had she not won immunity today, she’d be going home. Is this Colby just causing drama? Time to find out! Here’s the vote:
Colby.
Sandra.
Colby.
Colby is voted out.
Colby probably shouldn’t have said anything aloud about Russell, but nice try at the end, buddy! After Tribal Council, Parvarti indicates that what Colby said about her having gone home if she didn’t win so she’s all about winning the next immunity even more. Jerri and Russell talk about winning the next immunity challenge because Parvarti CANNOT…if she wins, she will win the whole game.
Parvarti comes back to camp with Tree Mail detailing the Final Four’s plan to pay tribue to fallen Survivors. This is where they follow a map to a beach and along the way reflect on and pick up the torches of the eliminated contestants. The Survivors reflect on the good qualities, the dumb moves (e.g, JT…I still can’t believe you gave Russell your hidden immunity idol!), and what they disliked about the players. Oh, man, Boston Rob…Russell stop talking SMACK. I love B-Rob…still crying over his elimination. I always LOVE how Survivor makes them go on this long hike to burn the torches of the eliminated contestants AND then right off to the immunity challenge you go! Talk about a waste of energy!
FINAL IMMUNITY CHALLENGE: It’s a maze! They are blindfolded and have to make their way to four stations in the maze and obtain a necklace from each area (four necklaces total). Since the Survivors are blindfolded, they will use “guide posts” to find their way. Once they get the four necklaces, they have to get out of the maze and find the “finishing post” which holds the immunity necklace. Russell and Jerri have the early lead with their first necklaces. Parvarti follows close behind. After a lot of time, Sandra gets her first necklace too. Russell gets his second necklace and so does Parvarti. Jerri gets her third necklace and so does Parvarti. Sandra gets her second necklace by using Parvarti’s voice to get there. Russell gets his third necklace. Parvarti and Russell run into each other…they both get their fourth necklaces. BOTH HAVE TO FIND THE FINISH. Jerri finds her fourth necklace. OMG…Russell is right next to the post by walks by it! Russell gets immunity SECONDS before Jerri and Parvarti. Wooooooooooooooooooow!
I’m guessing camp is not going to be as peaceful as the day Colby left. Russell plans to use Sandra to help him get $1 million so no matter the scenario, he’s keeping her. She would only get one vote…really? What about the people who HATE Russell? Ok, so the “final three” get together and it’s Russell, Jerri, and Sandra? But, Russell and Parvarti go for a walk and he tells her that his best strategic move is to take Jerri and Sandra. Parvarti warns him that if he takes Sandra with him, she’ll win.
Final Tribal Counil: Probst starts Tribal Council by asking Jerri how much time she spends working on saving herself. Jerri sticks around camp, but Sandra’s play is to go to the person has the immunity. Russell says that decision-making is important tonight because alliances will be broken. Parvarti is a huge threat and Jerri pushes this case. Parvarti’s case is that Russell could redeem his Villian self and that he could be loyal to her because she’s been protecting him. Russell DISAGREES and says that he’s been protecting Parvarti and not the other way around or that they’ve been protecting each other. Time to vote…
Parvarti.
Jerri.
Jerri.
Jerri. SHE’S OUT!!!!!!! How did this EVEN happen???? It seems silly to bring Parvarti to the Final Three because I think she could win! Nonetheless, congrats to the TOP THREE…Russell, Parvarti, and Sandra.
The top three enjoy their win letting us each know why they should win. The morning after, but Russell is still clearly playing as he argues with Parvarti and Sandra. But, Sandra has ONE more play in her and she tosses his hat into the fire! DOH. They burn down the camp (per usual) before they off to their final Tribal Council. The nine person jury now take over the game and will decide who wins the title AND the money. Probst tells them to be ready to be accountable because they are about to be addressed by the eliminated Survivors. Up first, each Survivor gets an opening statement and below is a brief summary with some quoting (some good stuff coming out of their mouths!):
Sandra = She was “sole surviving” when her alliance was destroyed.
Russell = No luck. He played hard and he played the game. He apologizes for offending people through playing the game (He calls it: “people looking at me like I did something wrong.” Um…probably because you did!).
Parvarti = She’s a threat and had to put together her “line of defense.” To do that, she got Russell (or her “dragon”) and instead of “slaying him” (her shout out to Coach) she kept him as “her pet.” (OH CLASSIC, PARVARTI!).
Now it’s time for the jury to interact (they can comment and/or ask questions) with the final three to determine who will they vote for to WIN.
Colby = Russell is “delusional” if he thinks he can get to Day 39 without luck. He asks Parvarti to talk about her big plays and she discusses the use of two idols.
Coach = He points out that Parvarti is the “Charmer/Manipulator,” Russell is the “Schemer/Liar,” and Sandra is the ”Coat Tail Rider.” He then continues to call Russell short, Sandra useless, and Parvarti is a warrior. He doesn’t know who he’s voting for, but he’s listening…
Amanda = She asks Sandra why she is better than the other two in terms of game-play. Her response is to indicate that she could never get Heroes on her side.
Courtney = She gives a shout out to her ladies: Parvarti kicks butt in challenges and Sandra is loyal. She gives Sandra the chance to “defend” loyalty which is often to seen as weakness in the game.
JT = He asks Russell if he “preserved” his votes on the jury since getting to the end is HALF the game. Russell hopes that the jury will respect his play. JT also notes that he lied in his bed (He gave the idol to Russell and was voted out), but Russell needs to lie in his (For all his nasty game play).
Danielle = She describes Russell as having poor “jury management skills” and she asks if he would change anything. He says NO. Too bad because no one on the jury does respect his play.
Jerri = She doesn’t know who she’s voting for, but she has a question about why she is on the jury and not in the TOP THREE. She asks Russell to describe why he did not take her to the finals which was the original plan (and to vote out Parvarti). It’s a strategic move, but Parvarti jumps in and says, “He knew he was getting your vote,” and Jerri replies with, “Well, you know what they say about assuming.” Finally, Jerri questions Sandra’s loyalty saying she didn’t have Jerri’s back during the final vote.
Candice = She tells Russell that he told lies while Parvarti played like a “spousal in a bad abusive relationship” with Russell. (SIDE NOTE: I totally disagree! Parvarti is the Queen! She was the only one who made Russell nervous and paranoid. You go girl!).
Rupert = To lie is easy and Russell took the easy way out. SNAP. He wishes he and Sandra chatted more so that they could have gone through the door that Sandra opened. Parvarti aligned with…essentially the devil…BUT she worked her ass off!
WHOA…looks like it’s between Sandra and Parvarti! It’s OFFICIALLY time to vote for a winner…they are showing us the votes as they go…
Jerri (Parvarti), Candice (Sandra), Danielle (Parvarti), Courtney (Sandra), Coach (Parvarti…oh yah, she’s a Warrior!), Rupert (Sandra…for a second time), and…they didn’t show us the rest for anticipation! But, too bad SO SAD, Russell…you LOST…AGAIN! Probst takes the votes with him to NY and the Survivors have to wait, but, luckily, thanks to editing, we find out in just seconds….here is Probst reading the votes officially…
Parvarti.
Sandra.
Parvarti.
Sandra.
Parvarti.
Sandra.
Sandra.
The winner is…SANDRA!!! That is TWICE folks that this lady has won!!!! Congrats and you got your wish…Russell didn’t get the title! HOLLER.
Great season Probst! I’d write more, but it’s time for the reunion show and I my love, B-Rob, should be making an appearence!
See you next time, FANS!
